The heat wave broke last night (we had a 103 deg day last week, hotter even than Fort Collins!) and so this morning Jasi and I took Daisy and Raven out to the back 40 to school some of the cross country jumps. I had mowed a path between fences last week so that we can see the footing better and ideally avoid both holes and rattlesnakes. Today we tested out my trail with a little cantering between jumps.
I'm amazed at how green it is here, all that snow and rain paid off. Not a terrible view of the mountains from the back 40 fields, either!
Daisy is an appaloosa with no spots - I have her registration papers and everything. She sure loves to jump though, and has amazing form when she's doing it.
