Kimberly Hale Photography got some amazing shots of baby Zora this weekend before she headed home.
Zora opens gates like a pro.
I love this one of Zora cantering "fast", it's like she just realized she has been living with racehorses!
We also did a test ride for a western saddle for Amy to use for riding Zora. Zora loved it, and the dogs enjoyed helping with the test ride.
Once Zora had decided she liked the western saddle, Amy mounted and gave it a try. This is important because a saddle usually feels different on the horse than on the stand in the store, so it's important to ride it to see how it fits the human, too.
Then I walked next to Zora for a lap or two around the arena since I make a good security blanket for the young horses.
Amy and Zora are such a nice pair. I feel incredibly pleased that I was able to find Zora, she was given two years to grow up and mature, and now Amy has an incredible horse who is stunningly like her previous mare, Dakota, just young and sound.
