Highboy's Turn

Highboy was so disappointed that he didn't get to go run in the back forty yesterday.  Last night he was so forlorn, he kept staring at Jasi while she fed the other horses, heaving big sighs and giving her soulful looks.  To boost his spirits I had to take him out for a gallop this morning.

I love these two photos, they really show Highboy as the speed loving off-track thoroughbred he is.

We also did some jumping, because Highboy is sure that avoiding the logs in the back is a giant waste of a perfectly good cross country course.  Some of these logs are quite large, but somehow Highboy managed to make them all seem very small as he careened towards them as fast as I'd let him go.

We are so fortunate to have this kind of thing, literally in our back yard.

If you're interested in watching Highboy careening around the field and leaping everything in his path, here's some videos Sara got for me.

Thank you Kimberly Hale Photography, thank you to Sara for the video, and thank you to Debora with Chameleon Browbands for the excellent beadwork on our bridle!
