We went to my friend Trisha's fun show today to play egg and spoons, toilet paper pairs, and fool around with cones and keyhole races. At the last minute I took Sloan, a horse who is new to Bit of Honey and who is here for some training and to get some mileage as an english horse.
She was a good sport, but wasn't impressed with the classes in the arena.
She did well of course, and even got herself a blue ribbon.
When we adjourned to the large pasture with cross country fences in it, Sloan thought that seemed like more fun.
Despite only having jumped a couple times in the arena at home, she was game to hop over the cross country fences after checking them out in a warmup. Who knew we could convert a little western trail quarter horse into a cute eventer in such a short time frame?
