Sleepy Stallion

One For Nothing was pacing this morning at the fence line watching the other horses and couldn't seem to settle down. I went out to talk to him, and I moved his hay/grain feeder to the middle of the fence that he was pacing. This sufficiently stopped him from obsessively walking that fence because he kept being interrupted by this large container of hay, so why not stop and grab a bite?

Then I stood at the corner of the paddock and he came right over to have his shoulder scratched. I rubbed his withers, the crest of his neck, and gently massaged his ears. He completely relaxed. Closing his eyes, his lips went limp, and he rested his chin on the gate. He even began to sway as I rubbed his shoulder. When I stopped he woke up, but he was much more relaxed. Now, about an hour later, he's napping standing up in the center of his paddock.

If he is willing to settle this much with just some impromptu affection, that is a great indicator that he will be quite happy here at Bit of Honey once his excess hormones are all taken care of.
