Today Ferriana and I did some flat work in the arena while I have it mostly empty from working the footing with the tractor. I did bring the Pivo down to the arena to video the ride and despite a couple technical difficulties, (the video stopped mid-dressage test for some unknown reason) I was able to get it started again and complete the canter work portion of the test on video as well.
I love her halt, she really sits down with her hind end which allows her to stop balanced.
Her canter work is coming along nicely as well. She has incredible reach with her hind end, stepping really well underneath herself.
Ferriana is such an amazing natural mover, her free walk is long, swingy, and forward. Walk and canter are the gaits that the horse naturally needs to have good quality within because they are the hardest to influence. I can do a lot to change the horse's trot, but walk and canter are critical as they are.
Here is the video of her trot work
