Sweetpeacefuldream had her first ride out to the back forty this
morning.
We walked today so that she could
take a good look at everything and be calm, and we rode for just about
forty five minutes because I had a riding lesson arriving soon. Miss Pea boldly hacked out all by herself (well, with me riding and
the two dogs leading t
he way, but she
was the only horse).
She seemed to enjoy herself and looking around at
everything, including another gigantic jack rabbit who bolted from the
tall grass and ran circles in front of us. I'm not sure why it ran in circles, unless it was trying to confuse us? She was so entertained by it I wonder if perhaps trail riding leading
up to eventing is in her future....!
