Cecil was finally diagnosed with an internal abdominal abscess. We don't know why or how he got it. I brought him home Tues. evening, so now he is on stall rest with very frequent monitoring and medications. His prognosis is guarded at this time. We're working on getting him to eat, and today he has perked up a bit, showing some interest in mash and hay. It is a bit of a "wait and see" situation, hopefully the treatment will work and he'll recover, so keep him in your thoughts, prayers, fingers crossed, whatever. His pony friends have been wonderful, keeping him company through the night and taking turns standing in the vicinity of the stall.
