Small Animal Vet Day

Perks to being the animals who live with a rehab specialist/vet tech…  trips to the clinic are no sweat.

Since we’re new to the area, we’re at the small animals’ vet clinic in Halifax to get vaccines and routine bloodwork done. This trip isn’t quite the same clown car experience as we usually have (4 cats in crates in the bed of the pickup, 2 dogs loose in the cab of the truck, and one dog crated in the cab).  This time it’s just Mahzi the house dog, Soleil the garage cat, and Sabbath from the barn.  With Sabbath and Mahzi being senior citizens now I like to stay on top of bloodwork and preventative care to get ahead of any potential issues. 

I’m pleased to report that everyone is doing well, some minor things on the old folks but overall they’re looking good.  We’ll be back with more of the small animals who are staffing the ranch in August, that should be closer to our usual clown car extravaganza! At least the clinic here is only a few minutes away from home, so we don’t have to drive too far.
