She was a champ for clipping her "billy goat's gruff" under her cheeks and face, and for having her legs trimmed. I've been doing spring clip jobs on all the other horses while they have been tied near Grace's paddock so Grace can get used to the idea and the sound of the clippers. Watching the other horses is a huge help with this kind of desensitization. Today was Grace's first encounter with them being used on her. She wasn't afraid of them, just kept tossing her head because she wasn't used to the vibration, and the clippers do sound like a very loud insect buzzing around her face.

Just for comparison's sake, here are her before and after photos side by side. I'd say she has made a gorgeous comeback!
